FHP Student Living Lets a Third of Hydrogen Studios in First Five Days

24th February, 2016, by David Hargreaves

Nottingham’s most expensive and luxurious student accommodation ‘Hydrogen’ has proven popular with students, with 50 of the building’s 162 studios being let in the first five days.

In addition to marketing the development, FHP Student Living will manage the £16 million Hydrogen student development.

With penthouse studios boasting unrivalled views over the city costing up to £220 per week, and just a three minute walk to Nottingham Trent University, the studios look to be a stark contrast to traditional student halls of residence, with private studios encompassing state of the art bathroom and kitchen facilities.

David Hargreaves, director at FHP Student Living comments:

“The popularity of Hydrogen has even taken us by surprise in the first week of marketing. We had 60 students viewing the show studio on Goldsmith Street in the first two hours, 12 units reserved on the first day and 50 in the first week.

What is interesting is that despite being only three minutes walk from Nottingham Trent University, we have had ten studios taken by University of Nottingham students. With the tram stop right outside the Hydrogen building, students can easily travel to the University of Nottingham campus, whilst still enjoying all that city living has to offer.”

Included within the six floor, 40,000 sq ft development is a cinema room, laundry, student lounge, concierge office, medical room and private parking facilities. Building work commenced last August, which is located opposite the Theatre Royal on Goldsmith Street, and is set for completion in Summer 2016.

Jonty Green of FHP Student Living added:

“Not only will the studios at Hydrogen provide living space with cutting edge design, the location of Hydrogen is ideal for students being only a stone’s throw from Nottingham Trent University’s city campus and Boots Library, as well as providing easy access to the city’s retail and leisure attractions.

The Hydrogen development will contain large studios, finished to the highest standard within the heart of Nottingham and a three-minute walk from Nottingham Trent University. Interest has already been extremely high, particularly from postgraduate students who may be looking for their own private, self-contained spaces to complete their studies.”

FHP Student Living is offering a variety of studios at Hydrogen, suitably titled ‘premium’, penthouse and ‘WOW’. Prices start at £150 a week, with the most exclusive WOW studios costing £220 — the most expensive student studios in the East Midlands.

All studios will be fully equipped with the latest luxury fittings and offer a beautiful view of the city centre, with many looking down to the Market Square, the Council House lock and The Theatre Royal and Concert Hall.

You can see the show studio from Goldsmith Street and it is now to view without prior booking between 12:30pm and 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, and until 7:00pm on a Wednesday.
